The government is poised to undertake effective diplomatic maneuvers to reclaim Nepali territories including Limpiyadhura, Lipulek, Kalapani, Susta, and other disputed sites.

The Common Minimum Policy Priorities and Resolve of the new coalition made public on Tuesday, explicitly addresses this issue.

The document asserts, ‘Nepal’s nationality, sovereignty, territorial integrity, independence, pride, and safeguarding national interests will remain paramount.’

Similarly, Nepal’s foreign policy will adhere to the principles of the UN Charter, the Panchsheel Agreement, the promotion of world peace, international commitments, and a rule-based independent, neutral, and non-aligned foreign policy.

Moreover, the government aims to maintain balanced, credible, and friendly relations with neighboring and friendly nations, emphasizing sovereign equality, mutual interests, and respect.

The document pledges to review existing treaties and agreements to protect and promote Nepal’s national interests while effectively managing borders.

Furthermore, the government has announced plans to address the genuine concerns of non-resident Nepalis, leveraging their skills and capital for the advancement of national interests.
