Nepal received remittances totaling Rs 126 billion in the month of Bhadra (mid-August to mid-September). According to data released by the Nepal Rastra Bank, the total remittances for the two months of Bhadra (mid-August to mid-September) and Ashwin (mid-September to mid-October) amounted to Rs 263 billion. In Shrawan (mid-July to mid-August) alone, the country received remittances of Rs 136 billion.
The central bank noted that this represents an 18.7 percent increase compared to the two-month period in the previous fiscal year. During the review period, approximately USD 1.96 billion entered the country.
